Right Through the Bavarian Forest on the Main Northern Route
The main northern route gives walkers access to the highest mountains and best known nature protection areas in the Bavarian Forest mountain range.
From the Baltic Sea across the Fichtelgebirge to the Bavarian Forest – the main Northern route is part of the E6 European Long Distance Path, stretching for 182 kilometres from the North West to the South East, through the Bavarian Forest.
Connecting with local networks of walks, there are many circular and other side walks available along the route. And links to other regions make the main Northern route even more attractive.
