Hirschberg

It does not always have to be a summit: Nature lovers also like to hike round the 1039 m high Hirschberg in the Bavarian forest instead of hiking up. The reason are the various meadows and tomentum (high moors) that surround it.

The completely wooded Hirschberg is between the mountains Falkenstein and Großer Rachel, east of the city of Zwiesel.

The rainfalls on the south and east hillsides recharge the water reservoir damn in Frauenau.

Großer Falkenstein

The Großer Falkenstein is the landmark mountain of Lindberg. In about four hours you can climb the 1315m top of the Großer Falkenstein. Various hiking paths and mountain paths lead up to the top from which you have a free view over the Bavarian Forest.

With its 1453 m the Großer Rachel is the second highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest. After reaching the top you can enjoy a wonderful view to the Osser and the Großer Arber in the North West and to the Dreisessel in the South East.
