Scheuereckberg

The 1196 m high Scheuereckberg is located in the National Park Bavarian Forest between the Großer Falkenstein and the Großer Rachel.

Especially for lovers of the typical meadows of the Bavarian Forest is this the ideal place, below the hilltop you can find the Jährlingsschachten. It is one of the most beautiful meadow and lawn areas in the Bavarian Forest.
Here are still some of the old sycamore maples, furthermore the former meadow is covered with blueberry bushes. In former times the mountain farmers let the young cattle browse here.

On the highest point of the Scheuereckberg is a small summit cross.

Großer Falkenstein

The Großer Falkenstein is the landmark mountain of Lindberg. In about four hours you can climb the 1315m top of the Großer Falkenstein. Various hiking paths and mountain paths lead up to the top from which you have a free view over the Bavarian Forest.

With its 1453 m the Großer Rachel is the second highest mountain in the Bavarian Forest. After reaching the top you can enjoy a wonderful view to the Osser and the Großer Arber in the North West and to the Dreisessel in the South East.

The Kleiner Falkenstein with a height of 1190 m is not difficult to climb, because very old beeches, mighty sycamore maples and coniferous wood give you pleasant shade.
