Kleiner Arber

The "Kleine Arber" is located in the eastern part of the district Cham and is with its 1384 metres the highest mountain in the “Nature Park Upper Bavarian Forest". Only a few kilometres separate him from the king of the Bavarian Forest, the Großer Arber.

Like many other mountains of the ARBERLAND it consists of gneissic rock. Its rocky top is decorated with a wooden cross with summit log, the view ranges from the "Lamer Winkel" to the "Zellertal".

Many hiking paths lead to the Kleiner Arber amongst others from Bodenmais, from the Kleiner Arbersee or from Schareben. Furthermore, the "Fernwanderweg E6" leads from the Kaitersberg to the Falkenstein over the summit.

Großer Arber

The "Großer Arber" gets with its 1456 m to the climatic forest line as the only summit of the Bavarian-Bohemian border massive. Therefore, the highest mountain in the ARBERLAND is closer to the sky than to the earth.

Hikers can experience a different kind of mountain tour on the 1261m high Heugstatt in the northern Bavarian Forest. Its summit plateau is not made of rock and stone, but a wonderfully beautiful lawn.

Großer Falkenstein

The Großer Falkenstein is the landmark mountain of Lindberg. In about four hours you can climb the 1315m top of the Großer Falkenstein. Various hiking paths and mountain paths lead up to the top from which you have a free view over the Bavarian Forest.
