The less famous 1238 m high mountain arises in the Arber range between Heugstatt and Mühlriegel. Adventurous hikers choose best the ascent over the Hüttensteig along the south ridge.
Climbing in the thick spruce forest
Here is no path. The hiker has to fend for himself through the thick forest of dark spruces, dependent on his sense of direction and party also easy climbing skills.
You are rewarded at the highest point of the ridge with a good view on the Lamer Winkel, to the Osser, to the Zellertal and to the Kaitersberg. Marked ascents to its summit are also possible from the places Arnbruck, Schareben or Lohberg.
